Welcome

"Welcome to the Center for Data and Search Informatics (DSI). DSI is a cross-cutting program in the IU School of Informatics with an active research program in Internet modeling, artificial intelligence, information retrieval, human interaction, provenance and metadata, cyberinfrastructure, bioinformatics, and information systems and visualization. Affiliated faculty span the unique breadth of the School of Informatics and work with other departments on campus and elsewhere in interdisciplinary activities.

DSI also has an NSF sponsored industrial affiliates program with which it engages with industry in translational research in large-scale data and search. See "why affiliate?" and "documents" for more information.

DSI is rennovating space in the Informatics building Room 323 as a fluid space for students and faculty to interact with each other and with the volumes of data that define the world today.
